Umrah Expenses Increased Saudi government has opened visa service for Umrah. Almost 100,000 Pakistanis could not go to perform Umrah because ban was imposed from 16 Rajab. Saudi companies have fixed 1500 Riyal and 2500-3000 Riyal as Umrah approval fee for the month of Shaban and Ramzan respectively.
Tourism companies and travel agencies have been linked with quota system. It is estimated that every Muslim going for Umrah has to pay Rs. 160,000 as Visa, accommodation and ticket. This is because Saudi Tourism companies have increased Umrah approval fee. In the month of Shaban, every pilgrimage has to pay Pak.
Rs. 40,000 for Umrah visa and transportation from Jeddah airport to makkah, Madinah and way back to Jeddah. It is also reported that various airlines have started decreasing fare.
Saudi Airlines was charging Rs. 80,000 as fare from Lahore to Jeddah before 16 Rajab. Now, it has reduced Rs. 12,000. It is expected that in Ramzan, one has to pay Rs. 70,000 as approval fee. Thus, the Umrah in Ramzan would cost Rs. 180,000 in Ramzan.
