Almaqrab Group of Qatar Decides to Install Two Coal Power Plants in Karachi. Sheikh Hamad bin Jasim and their business group is known for huge investments in the fields of banking, hoteling and real estate throughout the world.
Now, this group has decided to install two separate coal power plants in Port Qasim, Karachi. These power plants are supposed to generate as much as 660 megawatt of electricity each. Both power plants would generate 1320 megawatt.
It is worth mentioning that Almarqab Group has the technical collaboration with Chinese business enterprise Sinohydro Resources Limited. It is hoped that this investment would be a right step to control the ever increasing load shedding of electricity in Pakistan.
